Real Psychics/Phony Psychics: What to look for
A lot of people search for psychics, healers, card readers–etc etc, at a time when they are really in need…maybe vulnerable-lost, or easily manipulated.
I want to make sure no one gets duped–or wastes their money on someone who isnt legit–or doesnt get bad information or led down the wrong road.
I also just think everyone (myself included) needs a guide on what to look for…and what to look out for….
I’ve been thinking about how many variables there are in psychic readings—the reader/psychic, of course-their legitimacy, how its done, how info is interpeted, how they do their readings: in person? Online? etc etc……….
As Ive gotten better—Im going back and realizing who I’ve worked with or gotten readings from way before I did this-and I am surprised……..Well-when you dont know much about it-you are just so excited if they know the tiniest thing-that you give them credit, you know?
Even some of the things psychics knew about me that was “special” in some ways, the information was still vague in many ways. I’ve never had a psychic give me a name, or repeat something I said that day, or know the name of my partner-or my mom, or mention a passed relative and their name without me saying a a thing. Now that I do this regularly—-and–see people disappinted over readings from someone else or questioning if it was real-Im realizing many things are important and people need to be careful.
There are also people that take even spritual practices and energy work to an extreme that is something to be weary of!
When I do Theta on you-you are accepting the practice of Theta-but, I’m not forcing you to say you believe in it, etc—its also not a religion. Its a spritual, energy practice—anyone is welcome to connect with God-no matter whatt gender-sexuality, etc etc.
People ask me about some that do spells–no real psychic will do spells-of any kind. No ifs and or buts–first of all–even if the reader claims it is only “positive” things–you are tampering with someone elses energy without their permission = immoral. wrong.
No one should predict a lot of bad things—all doom and gloom
No psychic should tell you what to do—only advice–people often want me to tell them-but I cant…
So–the guy that runs mypsychicsonline contacted me a while ago to see if we could trade links. His site is very informative and accurate–and he said he could tell I was “legit” and the type of psychic people should see (thanks!) It dawned on me you guys need this info too—so here is one passage from him, ‘please visit his site….be sure to check his site for more useful info
” “{If you’re going to visit a psychic, your first choice should be to visit one that you can see face to face – one living in your home town or the surrounding environs. If there are no such psychics, then is the time to try the internet. (Phone psychics would be the court of last resort – who knows how long the conversation could last and the cost will add up before you know it.)
As with any psychic, you want to make sure you are working with an authentic psychic, not a fraud. Yes, “authentic” might sound like a pejorative word in this context, but unfortunately frauds are out there in any business, and the psychic arena has its fair share.
So, how can you tell if your psychic is a genuine one? In many ways it’s a matter of common sense.
1. You should be able to have a free consultation with your psychic. Your psychic should know nothing about you – that’s how you’ll know if they are genuine, when they tell you stuff about your life that they couldn’t possibly know, because you have told them absolutely nothing about yourself – but you should know everything about your psychic. Where they are located, how long they have been doing their readings, and so on.
2. With the internet, it’s possible for people to sign on to a website and leave feedback on the service they received, whether good or bad. It’s certainly possible for psychics, therefore, and you want to read through this feedback and see what former and current clients are saying about your psychic. Be aware, however, that it’s easy to invent a screen name, sign on to a site and leave feedback… any “sock puppet” can do it. So when you read these reviews…pay attention to how they’re written. Are the same spelling or grammatical mistakes made in each review? That might indicate that the same person has written them all.
3. Everybody’s life is full of ups-and-downs. You want to know to know about those down-times, even when it’s not possible to prevent them. These are the types of things your psychic should be telling you, not simply Pollyanna stuff! On the other hand, if all you hear is doom and gloom news…perhaps its time to move to a new psychic, or even perhaps a therapist!
4. You have your own life to live. Don’t get caught, like William Shatner in the Twilight Zone episode “Nick of Time,” asking your psychic what you should do ever single day of your life. Have a reading, move forward with your life, and six months later, get anew reading to see where you stand. A psychic is a tool, not a crutch.”
He has a lot of great advice-about what to expect:
“Psychics have ethics just like any other profession. They cannot specifically tell you what to do, they can only advise – the actual decisions are up to you…….
No legitimate psychic will make a love potion or cast a curse spell for you – that’s not the business of a psychic, and such negative karma as that kind of attempt will create will only harm you in the long run! You need help in seeing your life clearly, not in manipulating others to give you what you want……
His or her client by offering advice, not by taking control of your life, by making you dependent upon them, by demanding money from you to perform tasks.
When looking for a psychic, it is important that you realize what they can, and cannot do.”—mypsychicsonline.com
